tropical architecture : colors

It's been a while since I shared images from my Flickr pool, Tropical Architecture. I think I was inspired in part by my friend Nichole's recent blog post, Metro Rainbow. It also doesn't help that I am aching for warmer weather and can't help but daydream of visiting some tropical locale, wear summer dresses and sandals. I thought this selection of images would be nice to look at on a chilly Monday morning.

next best thing: poladroids

Who didn't love playing with a Polaroid camera? Not to mention that cross-processed or faded quality to the images that you can't get on any other camera. I was upset to hear they stopped making the film for it. Poladroid to the rescue. It's a free application you can download that attempts to recreate the experience of the real deal – complete with sound effects, the burned in edges and the ability to "shake" your print while the image develops. You're literally made to wait for the image to appear (remember?). Pure fun! Go play!
