Lexie's scarf collection is quickly surpassing mine! Here she is wearing her lovely new oatmeal colored wool scarf. This one is hand-knitted by our office mate, Juliette Spencer. Lovely!

the perfect rucksack turned dog carrier
It's been a challenge to find a new carrier for my dog Lexie that is both cute and affordable. Since I take her on the subway during the week, it's vital that the bag be comfortable to carry. When I saw this Stella McCartney for LeSportsac bag on a private sale on Gilt.com, I thought... hmmm, it looks as though it might be the perfect size and SHAPE for a ten pound miniature dachshund!
The bag retails for a whopping $350. It was marked down on Gilt Groupe to $98(!). I also applied a $50 credit towards the purchase (thanks to two invited friends who have made purchases!). So with shipping and taxes, my cute, new, sporty rucksack-turned-dog carrier only took me out $66!
Hmmmm...
More importantly, the bag is so soft that Lexie loved it instantly! :)
